Rib Open Rhinoplasty

Rib rhinoplasty is a technique that uses the patient’s cartilage. A 3-4-cm. The incision is made beneath the breast to take out 1-2 pieces of cartilage, 2-3-cm. in length, from the patient’s rib.

Ideal for

  • A person with less nasal skin thickness, which causes a non-natural look after silicone implantation, redness due to the thin nose tissue, and a non-shapely nose as desired.
  • A person with a short or low nasal structure desires a long and high bridge nose, but the ear cartilage is insufficient to support the nasal tip.
  • A person with an issue after rhinoplasty correction, nasal inflammation and infection, allergy to silicone, and thin nasal skin with a risk of extrusion.

Advantages

  • Reduce inflammation concerns, and infection issues, and prevent extrusion problems.
  • Obtain a nice nose shape, which gives a more natural look than silicone implantation.
  • No chance of allergy due to foreign material or silicone since using the patient’s rib cartilage.

Recovery period

Approximately 1-3 months.
