Preparation Instructions

Preparation before botox injection

  • Use authentic botox only.
  • Request a surgeon to mix the botox in front of the patient to ensure it is not diluted with saline.   
  • Choose a reliable and standard clinic with experienced surgeons.
  • Do not inject botox more than 300 units per procedure. 
  • Apply cold compression during the procedure to minimize the blood circulation around the target area.

After injection

  • Move the muscle 1-2 times after injection.
  • Do not lie flat for 3 hours.  
  • Avoid all types of heat and activities that cause the red face. 
  • Stop drinking alcoholic drinks.

How long does botox stay effective?

It depends on the amount and brand, but generally, it is effective for 3-6 months. 

It is effective within 3-7 days with full effectiveness within 14 days.

It should not be too frequent because it may cause botox resistance. Botox injection should be done at least 3 months after the previous injection, but not more than 5-6 months. 

The patient can be allergic to botox. Heat rash is possible in the worst case, but will be recovered within 2-3 days after taking antihistamines.
